چکیده
This paper focuses on spatial quality assessment of pan-sharpened imagery that contains valuable information input images. Its aim is to show fusion functions respond differently different types landscapes. It compares a an object-level procedure with conventional pixel-level-based which assigns uniform scores all image pixels To do so, after performing series pan-sharpening evaluations, weighted for assessments products, allocating spatially varying weight factors the proportional their level content proposed. All experiments are performed using five high-resolution datasets products produced by three common algorithms. The acquired from WorldView-2, QuickBird, and IKONOS. Experimental results distortion fused images class vegetation cover exceeds man-made structures, reaching more than 4% in some cases. Our can preclude illogical fidelity estimations occurring when contain land covers. Since particular structures high importance remote sensing applications, our provides purpose-oriented estimation comparison procedures.

Image Degradation for Quality Assessment of Pan-Sharpening Methods
Abstract: Wald’s protocol is the most widely accepted protocol to assess pan-sharpening algorithms. In particular, the synthesis property—which is usually validated on a reduced scale—is thought to be a necessary and sufficient condition of a success image fusion. Usually, the synthesis property is evaluated at a reduced resolution scale to take the original multispectral (MS) image as referenc...
متن کاملObject Level Strategy for Spectral Quality Assessment of High Resolution Pan-sharpen Images
Panchromatic and multi-spectral images produced by the remote sensing satellites are fused together to provide a multi-spectral image with a high spatial resolution at the same time. The spectral quality of the fused images is very important because the quality of a large number of remote sensing products depends on it. Due to the importance of the spectral quality of the fused images, its eval...
متن کاملSatellite Multispectral Image Enhancement Based on Pan-Sharpening under NSCT
In real time remote sensing it is necessary to know the quality of images obtained from the different satellite sensors. Pan-sharpening enhances the spatial information of input raw multispectral images. This paper focuses on the evaluation and analysis of eight frequently used image quality assessment methods to determine the preservation of spectral and spatial integrity in the pan-sharpened ...
متن کاملPerformance Analyzing of High Resolution Pan-Sharpening Techniques: Increasing Image Quality For Classification Using Supervised Kernel Support Vector Machine
Pan-sharpening is also known as image fusion, resolution merge, image integration, and multi sensor data fusion has been widely applied to imaging sensors. The purpose of pan-sharpening is to fuse a low spatial resolution multispectral image with a higher resolution panchromatic image to produces an image with higher spectral and spatial resolution. In this paper, we investigated these existing...
متن کاملSpatial Quality Assessment of Pan-Sharpened High Resolution Satellite Imagery Based on an Automatically Estimated Edge Based Metric
Most of the existing pan-sharpening quality assessment methods consider only the spectral quality and there are just few investigations, which concentrate on spatial characteristics. Spatial quality of pan-sharpened images is vital in elaborating the capability of object extraction, identification, or reconstruction, especially regarding man-made objects and their application for large scale ma...
